The trees bare. The leaves crisp, crackle, crunch underfoot. Halloween draws near, pumpkins being carved. Welcome ghosts, goblins and ghouls to your door. Treat them lightly and send them on their way. Stay by fireside Winter beside you. Soon it will be time for Christmas cheer. Awaken when dark make your chilly way to work. Wrap scarf three times to ward off sleet and rain. Fill your thoughts with holidays until Summer comes again. Long wait now for ice cream and cone. Pause for thought and reflect how bare branches mirror veins and capillaries. Natures nervous system so like your own.
