in my gut as I clutched my numerous pre-bought second hand textbooks for comfort. Hopelessly out of date as I would only too soon discover.

I somehow remember it was a June day around the 10th when I first encountered him.

I had been attending the entrance year for about two months now. It was kind of a prep all where you decided which way you'd go to forge a brilliant career and life for yourself. Whether it be Medicine, or Law or Heaven forbid an Actuary. Frightfully clever fellows.

In the end I plucked for Medicine and through a series of failed exams I somehow stumbled into the cavernous mouth of Dentistry. Cavities and all.

I startled myself by immediately loving every aspect of it and excelling with remarkable speed.
