The two fighters locked eyes in the centre of the ring. They each had the look of a bull ready to charge. All the hype had led to this moment. The seconds took their time moving away. The bell rang once. The fighters exploded. Raining punches to head and body. Thrusting jabs, uppercuts and crunching parries. The cameras flashed in unison with the punches landing making it look like the hits were providing the cascade of lights. Then crack. A punch emerged from an invisible space and hit jawline. Head now careening sideways. Gravity did the rest. Darkness fell quickly.
